MICHAEL KEOGH

With decades of working in private practice as a Principal Solicitor, Michael knows that wisdom as well as legal knowledge is required to provide clients with cost-effective legal solutions.
Michael has practised Law for over 38 years, having been admitted as a Solicitor in 1985. He obtained his Bachelor of Law in 1983 and his Bachelor of Economics in 1980.
Keogh & Co Lawyers opened its doors in December 1989 and has successfully developed as a practice offering a wide range of professional legal services. Keogh & Co Lawyers’ client base has grown over the years as a consequence of providing cost effective and excellent advice and guidance. The majority of the firm’s work is sourced from referrals from satisfied clients and other legal practitioners in the District.
In Michael’s early years of practice, he engaged in a wide range of legal matters as a legal practitioner. However, for the last 20 years his focus and expertise has been in the areas of Wills and Estates, Commercial and Business Law and Property and Conveyancing. Michael has represented clients in complex Estate matters, Commercial negotiations and Business Contracts with great success.
Michael’s desire for further knowledge and drive to improve himself caused him to study further and he has obtained a Graduate Diploma in Philosophy.
Experience and knowledge of the Law is not always enough to resolve a problem. Legal solutions emerge when experience and knowledge are combined with the ability to apply these to the problem with prudence and common sense.
Kathryn Mackenzie
Kathryn practices exclusively in the area of Family Law. Her expertise and practical approach result in optimal, sensible and early solutions for her clients all over South-East Queensland.
Kathryn was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in 1989 and has been employed in private practice for 30 years.
Kathryn’s focus for her Family Law clients is assisting them to navigate their way through the complex legal arena of Family Law and support them through a stressful and emotional time. Our clients can expect excellent personal service and experienced professional advice. We place our clients on a clear path to resolve their matter at the earliest opportunity.
Kathryn is a member of several professional associations including the Queensland Law Society, Family Law Practitioners Association and Women Lawyers Association of Queensland. Kathryn is an active member in the Toowoomba community and has served on Committees and Boards in the local community.
Kathryn is currently undertaking her Masters of Law.
Janelle Prior
Janelle has over 25 years of experience as a Conveyancer with Keogh & Co Lawyers, and decades of experience working in law firms. Janelle works closely with Michael Keogh to ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to our clients.
Janelle is able to assist you with the purchase or sale of your property, including drafting or reviewing Contracts, undertaking property searches, negotiating conditions and extensions and will personally attend to settlement of your conveyance.
Administration Team
The day to day running of Keogh & Co Lawyers is led by Carol Campbell and other friendly members of the team in administrative support. Carol has been employed as a legal secretary/paralegal for more than 20 years with Keogh & Co Lawyers. Andrea Campbell is our highly efficient Accounts Manager and has been employed by the Firm for over 25 years. Our friendly staff including Carol, Andrea, Janelle and Paige, are all qualified Commissioners for Declarations who are able to witness and certify documents for our clients.
